Tutorial: fare un packaging figo

We would like to remind the customers that it  is extremely important to imagine the following instructions to be read trough the recorded automatic voice that you here in train stations.

Si ricorda la gentile clientela quanto sia estremamente importante immaginare le seguenti istruzioni dettate come dalla voce meccanica udibile nelle stazioni ferroviarie.

1) Create a poster by using stencils.

1) Create un poster usando degli stencils.

2) Print the washing instructions and a card. Now, fold the t-shirt on tissue paper.
2) Stampate le istruzioni di lavaggio e un biglietto da visita. Piegate ora la maglietta su un foglio di carta velina.

3) Fold the tissue in square shape. Fold accurately the poster around it, maintaining the shape.
3) Piegate la velina assicurandovi che la forma finale diventi un quadrato. Avvolgetele attorno, mantenendo la geometria, il poster.

4) Seal it by using a pre-made logo sticker.
4) chiudete il tutto con un adesivo riportante il vostro logo, precedentemente stampato.

5) Rest it on a persian carpet and stare at it flattering yourself about the success in the operation. Repeat the entire cycle until alcohol is needed.
5) Appoggiatelo su un tappeto persiano e contemplatelo complimentandovi per la buona riuscita dell'operazione. Ripetete l'intero ciclo fino ad aver necessita' di alcolici.

Mina Ferma e Composta - Azioni Catartiche

You know Mina.
You've seen her in Awakening, she's been helping out a lot to keep the blog together, tumblr wise. 
She is a cool kid, always working on something interesting, from home made t-shirts to art projects. And there is a project going on since the last couple of years, "Azioni Catartiche".
Body art with a technology twist to it, divided in acts (two, for now), black and white self portraits with organic texture.
So here is her work, out twist to it, answered (or not) questions, (unwritten) to-do list.

Thesselle: Where did you study?
Mina Ferma e Composta: Art School "Andrea Sabatini" (Salerno). Actually in Politecnico di Milano.



T: What is your occupation at the moment?
M: Fighting boredom.

T: What do you usually drink?
M: White russian.


T: Did you have a trauma?
M:  ...

T: What is it your addiction?
M: cigarettes and trichlorethylene.


T: Your favorite place?
M: None

T: A song suggestion?
M: The XX, Client, Aucan, Cristal fighters, Have a nice life, New candys, Verdena, Marie antoinette, I Cani

M: "Fa-fa-fa" from Datarock (way to many suffering awakenings)

M: "Invisible monsters" from Palahniuk and "Elogio della disarmonia" from Dorfles.

Mina's 10 things-to-do list:
Never had it. Just the thought of having one would cause way to much anxiety. In the priorities there certainly 
is to create a Third Act, move in another city and start over.

FOUR LINES

We got stuck in the traffic for something like one hour. And the minute we got off the car started raining.

 Deluge, seriously. So we got to the exposition all wet and timid, not it the right mood for having people around us. Not in the mood for anything that wasn't a cup of hot tea watching desperate housewives on the tv, actually. Then suddenly, once we stepped in the store where the expo was, all the negativity dropped off our backs. 

The place is cool and relaxed, and so was the people there. We felt cosiness all around us, while we were taking a look at the pictures on the wall. The photos were interesting, mostly because they were capturing several different ideas keeping the sense of being part of a bigger reality. It was a story, but no words were involved.
We got to Elena Vaninetti, one of the four photographers (the girl with the denim jacket):

"We chose each other on Flickr, because of our styles.
We spent months organizing the trip, defining stages and working contacts, until we jumped on a car, driving towards Denmark-Norway-Sweden, intrigued by the idea of northern atmospheres and open, wide spaces.
On the road, with polaroids as a travel journal, picturing people and landscapes.

Photos about us, about places and strangers we met.

We were often hosted by photographers. There was this one guy I was impressed about, Johan, in Sweden.

I believe we left him kinds shocked with our italian behaviour. I mean, eight in the morning he was all ready steady go while we were still trying to get up from bed.

Norway, Lofoten Islands, never ending sunlight. There was no dawn, no darkness, just sunlight. All day, all night. We had to hang blankets as if they were curtains. A nightmare.

And we lost three cameras. One felt in the water, we grabbed it immediately, but it was too late. One died of a sudden. The other one is somewhere, in the woods. Forgotten on the car roof, we realized the loss while still driving. Andrea spent the night looking for it, alone, with no results.
