shift

Troppi spoilers.

Vedrete.

James, Luciano e Simona.

We want to change things.
Just like everyone, when the end of an year is getting closer.
Sometimes you just realize you're not in the place you want to be in, or not doing what you wish to do. Like, really wish to do.
So we decided to move just a inch closer to the direction we feel might be ours, and change this project's nature. In January it will be official, but for now we can tell you this will be more of a blog and less of an involucre. Because we'll have a new involucre. Which obviously we're gonna link soon.
Way to many spoilers now.

Tutorial: fare un packaging figo

We would like to remind the customers that it  is extremely important to imagine the following instructions to be read trough the recorded automatic voice that you here in train stations.

1) Create a poster by using stencils.
1) Create un poster usando degli stencils.

2) Print the washing instructions and a card. Now, fold the t-shirt on tissue paper.

3) Fold the tissue in square shape. Fold accurately the poster around it, maintaining the shape.

4) Seal it by using a pre-made logo sticker.

5) Rest it on a persian carpet and stare at it flattering yourself about the success in the operation. Repeat the entire cycle until alcohol is needed.

Makeover Day

Truth is, the world is full of helpless people.
You know, giving to the junkies. You can't help them. That's the reason why we chosen to help those who can make it on their own. We've been going around friday during the fashion week, looking for something strict, well-dressed people with no effort,  not like layers and layers of fabric and brands and opulence. No. T-shirt and trousers well putted together is all we needed and we can tell you, it was more challenging then what we expected.
So we found some people, gave them the tees, photographed some of them, and here they are, our babies with their fantastic makeovers.

Mina Ferma e Composta - Azioni Catartiche

You know Mina.
You've seen her in Awakening, she's been helping out a lot to keep the blog together, tumblr wise.
She is a cool kid, always working on something interesting, from home made t-shirts to art projects. And there is a project going on since the last couple of years, "Azioni Catartiche".
Body art with a technology twist to it, divided in acts (two, for now), black and white self portraits with organic texture.
So here is her work, out twist to it, answered (or not) questions, (unwritten) to-do list.

Thesselle: Where did you study?
Mina Ferma e Composta: Art School "Andrea Sabatini" (Salerno). Actually in Politecnico di Milano.

T: What is your occupation at the moment?
M: Fighting boredom.

T: What do you usually drink?
M: White russian.

T: Did you have a trauma?
M:  ...

T: What is it your addiction?
M: cigarettes and trichlorethylene.

T: Your favorite place?
M: None

T: A song suggestion?
M: The XX, Client, Aucan, Cristal fighters, Have a nice life, New candys, Verdena, Marie antoinette, I Cani
(last months playlist).

T: A song that really turns you off?
M: "Fa-fa-fa" from Datarock (way to many suffering awakenings)

T: The most relevant book you read in the last year?
M: "Invisible monsters" from Palahniuk and "Elogio della disarmonia" from Dorfles.

T: Sweet or salty?
M: Salty

Mina's 10 things-to-do list:
Never had it. Just the thought of having one would cause way to much anxiety. In the priorities there certainly
is to create a Third Act, move in another city and start over.

Here her Tumblr, with suggestions and inspiration.

WANTED

You should know.
A couple of weeks a go, when the post "Follow us" came out, we were going high on trichlorethylene (which frankly we're not suggesting if you don't want to have visions by night and nose bleeding) and finally, after fighting the last symptoms of schizophrenia, they are ready.

Ora, riprendetevi, so che vi state dimenando sulla sedia urlando sguaiatamente "LA VOGLIO", ma se vi calmate ve lo diciamo.
Ok, cosi.
Bene.

Now, I know it's a lot to take in and you're probably going crazy from your chair, screaming "I WANT IT" and stuff, but if you could just chill for a second we're gonna tell you.
Ok, there you go.
Fine.

Il sorprendente esordio dei Cani

You've got to consider, we're not music reviewer.
But there is music we listen to, anyway, always looking for something old or new that could eventually represent us for who we are here and now.
So what could be better then the Musica Importante A Milano festival.
Or even better, why not go to talk with someone so fresh, new, easy that it consumes you.

I Cani are from Rome. They could be from Milan for what I care. Or any other big Italian city.
I Cani have been around for something like an year, on the web, when they started off with "Wes Anderson".
And like me and you, a lot of people commented, shared and criticized.

We got there early, time needed, prepare questions, organize with the staff, get right under the stage. We've written our interview on a tiny notebook, while the mosquitos would devour ur legs.

I Cani were anonymous. At least since a couple of months ago, during Miami, the first concert that got the hill crowded, a secondary stage in the Independent Italian Music festival, even before the nameless band before them ended. Everybody was looking up for this, impatiently.

So they started preparing the stage, with paper bags on their heads, keeping the anonymity.
Paper bags drop off at the end of the introduction.

During the show, fabulous all around. Stuff as heavy-weighted groupies and pogo in the mud worthy of Woodstock.
And everybody would sing. Everybody.

After the concert, we track them down. They told us to wait backstage, they would have been there, but "right now we have to clean up the stage". We were about to stop them in front of the entrance, but other interviews had to be made. At the end of that they were running but we got them. every single one of them. We didn't had a lot of time, Verdena were already setting up.

Niccolò, the band's leader:
- I'm really not getting all this need to get ut of the stereotype. It's not lik you quit dressing up a certain way only because everybody does it, or you stop watching Wes Anderson movies, only because a lot of assholes watch them too. I find that really hideous. It's actually an effect we're risking too, if we go on with those interviews, people will get bored.
I don't think there is nothing bad in doing something other people does too, the only thing that counts is understand if we're doing that because we like it, because we believe in this, or not.

I tried to get out of the music stereotype, compared to the last entries in the italian scene, the "sleepy lyric songwriter" who talks about his stuff with a suffering note, victim almost, so I look around an frankly there is not that much people only suffering.
There is a moment when you suffer, but there is a moment when it gets better, and I feel like no one is singing about that. As a narrative voice I tried to be diversified, talking about when you're cynical, intolerant, happy.

Metamorfosi

Confusa, frastornata.
Come poter difendersi? Come agire?

Summer sways

Sabrina: top - pull&bear, necklaces - custom made, belt and skirt - H&M
